Durwood J. Levy

Durwood (Durkey)J. Levy, age 81 of Houston, Texas passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Cameron Hall Assisted Living in Ellijay, Georgia following a period of declining health. Born March 8, 1930 in Nolanville, Texas, he was the son of the late John and Dalah Levy. Survivors include sister, Mary E. Brooks of Burnet, Texas, sister and brother-in-law, Dana and John Cline of Jasper, Georgia, two sisters-in-law Peggy Levy of Nolanville, Texas and Charlotte Levy of Deming, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by Laroy and Mary Levy of Garland, Texas, Jake Levy of Deming, New Mexico, Donald Levy of Nolanville, Texas, and Roger Brooks of Burnet, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, September 23rd from 6 to 8 at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas. At his request, Mr. Levy was cremated and a graveside memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24th at the Cedar Knob Cemetery in Nolanville, Texas with the Rev. Guy Cagle of Houston, Texas officiating.
