Charles Meador

Mr. Charles William Meadors, 79, of Salado, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011, at his home. He was born September 23, 1932 in Decatur, Illinois to Rudolph and Martha Meadors. Mr. Meadors served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1949 to 1953, during that time he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as a Engineering Designer for many companies such as Texas Instruments and even NASA. On October 4, 1958 he married his loving wife, Jimmie in Phoenix, Arizona. They moved to central Texas from Houston in 1979 and are members of the Church of Christ. Charles is preceded in death by his loving parents and a brother and sister. He is survived by, his loving wife, Jimmie Meadors; two sons, Mark Meadors and wife Renee, Scott Meadors and wife Connie; and three grand children, Allison, Wade, and Travis Meadors. A memorial service under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Scott and Mark Meadors officiating.
