Morgan Cain

BeltonFuneral Services for Morgan Cain, 93, of Temple, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cain died Monday, October 17, 2011, in a Temple assisted living center. Mrs. Cain was born February 6, 1918, in Durant, Oklahoma, the daughter of Haynes Morgan Thomas and Ina Mae (Asher) Thomas. She married Benjamin Franklin "B. F." Cain on September 3,1938, in Shamrock, Texas. B.F. and Morgan lived most of their married lives in Hereford. She worked as church secretary for the First Christian Church of Hereford for more than 20 years. They moved from Hereford to Belton in 1999. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Temple, and a former member of First United Methodist Churches of Belton and Hereford. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, and she had participated in Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study. Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her husband on January 30, 2005; by two sisters, Valeska Thomas Wheeler and Virginia Thomas Holmes; and by a great grandchild, Christopher Cain, on July 24, 2005. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, B. Frank Cain and wife Terri of Fort Worth, and Dr. Phillip T. Cain and wife Susan of Belton; Seven grandchildren, Ben Cain, Taylor Cain Snow and husband Joe, Calli Cain, Dr. Jason Cain and wife Melissa, Kristen Cain Brubaker and husband Andrew, Dr. Jordan Cain, and Laurie Cain Ranz and husband Federico; and two great grandchildren, Matthew Cain and Roman Brubaker.
