Mr. Glenn was born September 1, 1923 in McKee, Kentucky, the son of Sam Glenn and Ella Wilson Glenn. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Glenn held the commission of Colonel on the staff of the Governor of Kentucky in the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels for his service during the war. Mr. Glenn married Betty Lou Smith July 10, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. He worked for many years for himself in the drywall business. He lived in Ft. Myers, Florida before moving to Belton. Mr. Glenn was the last of 13 children. He was preceded in death by his wife in March 5, 2006. Survivors include two sons James Glenn of Belton and Roger Glenn of El Paso; two daughters Brenda Stiltner of Belton and Vickie Strong and husband Dennis of Austin; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
