Aubrey Wayne Jordan

Aubrey W. "Buster" Jordan was born January 20, 1935 in Belton, the son of Bill and Mallie (Foley) Jordan. His father passed away when Buster was very young, and he was raised by his mother and loving step-father, L.D. Forrest. He attended Belton schools and married Linda Petty November 26, 1955 in Temple. In 1969, Buster opened Jordan's Red & White Grocery Store in McGregor, later opening Spring Valley Grocery and Jordan Affiliated in Lorena. He was a long time member of the Retail Grocery Association. Mr. Jordan retired in 1993. Aubrey was an avid golfer until he could no longer play for health reasons. He was a member of the Greenbriar Country Club in McGregor. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Jordan in 1995. Survivors include his wife, Linda Petty Jordan of Lorena; son, David Jordan and wife Charlotte of Robinson; one brother, Ronnie Forrest of Euless; four grandchildren, Ryan Jordan, Cody Jordan, Audrey Jordan, and Ty Jordan; four great-grandchildren, Caden, Cameron, Skyler, and Haven.
