James Hardy Windham

Hardy was born July 15, 1938, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Hardy Orban and Mildred Ruth Windham. He graduated from Muskogee High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. After becoming a CPA, he joined the accounting firm of Ernst and Young in Houston, and then spent many years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Houston Corporation, a private investment firm. Hardy was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Doss (McGuyer) Windham, of Temple; one daughter, Anne McLeod and her husband Scott McLeod, one son Reagan Windham, daughter-in-law Sharon Windham, four grandchildren, Caleigh and Bradan McLeod and Sophia and Ella Windham, all of Houston. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Windham Smith and her husband Riley, of Poteau, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at the North Belton Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16th. Minister Joe Baisden will conduct the final rites.
