Belton--- Graveside services for Aubrey L. Taylor, age 91, of Temple, will be held 10:00 AM, Friday April 6, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Cemtery with Bro. Harlan Hanks officiating. Visitation will be held Friday morning 9 AM to 10AM prior to the service at the graveside. Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his home in Temple. He was born February 13, 1921 in Lampasas, Texas the son of the late Robert Lee Taylor and Jesse (Edwards) Taylor. Aubrey honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II where he served throughout Europe including Normandy. He has lived in the central Texas area his entire life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy and the VFW and American Legion. He then married his late wife, Lena Maie (Pruitt) Taylor in 1946. He worked for Civil Service at Ft. Hood and worked for Mauldin Plumbing Company in Temple. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and wife; one son, Clarence Lee Taylor; one brother, Garland Robert Taylor; four sisters, Dorothy Pruitt, Ana Mae Maddox, Betty Jo Ragsdale and Bobby Jo Pruitt. He is survived by two sons; Larry Taylor and wife Rebecca of Temple, Daniel Taylor and wife Carol of Temple; two brothers, Leonard Taylor of Temple, Ennis Taylor of Belton; one sister, Sadie Christine Smith; three grandchildren, Larry Jr., Steven, and Sean Taylor; and six great grandchildren, Mason Merritt, Jacob Taylor, James Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Aylissa Taylor, and Morgan Taylor.
