Belton--- Funeral services for Frank "Slick" Hernandez, 66, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Dossman Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Reed and Bro. Chuck Hernandez officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Hernandez died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at his home in Belton. He was born August 18, 1945 in Georgetown, Texas, the son of Nieves Hernandez and Francis (Torres) Hernandez. He worked as an Electrician and spent his free time coaching for the Central Texas Youth Football League, sharing and teaching his love of football. He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Marilyn Hernandez, Amanda Gonzalez; and two brothers. Survivors include his companion, Teresa Jones; five sons, James and Jason Hernandez, Alvin Alexander, Benton Morgan, Michael Jones; four daughters, Theresa Hernandez Copeland, Gina Hernandez Johnson, Shelley Hernandez, and Candy Hernandez; one brother, Chuck Hernandez, two sisters, Marie Hernandez, Linda Hernandez Yost; twenty-nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
