Gene Robert York

Visitation for Gene Robert York of Salado will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 6:00-8:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas. He was born October 18, 1950 to James and Jean York. He graduated from Rogers High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from University of Mary Hardin Baylor, then his Master's Degree from Tarleton State University. He was a coach, teacher and administrator in the Central Texas area for over 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Jessica York of Leander; his 3 children, Jason York of San Diego, Samantha Wozniak of Harker Heights and Staci York of Salado; his 3 grandchildren, Charli Wozniak, Carlos Ruiz and Avery Ruiz; his father, James York and stepmother, Jan York of Heidenheimer; brothers, James York, Jerry York, Randy York, Scott Underhill, and Bart Underhill, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Evelyn Welch York. A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends.
