Oel Warren "Bubby" Richey

Funeral services for Oel Warren "Bubby" Richey, age 71, of Holland will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Worden officiating. Burial will follow at Val Verde Cemetery east of Holland. Mr. Richey died (6-21-2012) Thursday at his home. He was born October 19, 1940 in Bartlett to Albert (A.W.) and Glynn Doris (Townsend) Richey. He married LaVone Nell Bunte May 17, 1963 in Austin. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Rochester. Following military service he began working for civil service at Ft. Hood as Director of Logistics. He retired in 1996 after 35 years. He lived in Salado for 25 years before moving to Holland. He was a member, Chairman of Deacons and Sunday School Superintendent at Val Verde Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, LaVone Richey of Holland, 3 daughters, Rachelle Urbantke of Holland, Dana King of Morgan's Point Resort and Vona Hallbauer of Holland, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and 5 grandchildren.
