FREE OBIT Belton--- Memorial services for R. A. Wesson, 87, 0f Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Belton with Rev. Darren Walker officiating. Mr. Wesson died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Wesson was born August 30, 1924 in Prairie Dell, the son of John Henry Wesson and Beulah Florine Van Dyke. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Estherlene White, June 26, 1947 in Belton. Mr. Wesson worked for Civil Service as a Fireman at Ft. Hood for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton. He was also a Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America for many years. Survivors include his wife, Estherlene Wesson of Belton; two sons Richard A. Wesson, Jr. of Austin and Wesley R. Wesson of North Richland Hills; one brother John Henry Wesson of Belton; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
