Belton--- Funeral services for Earl Haddock, 90, of Arlington, formerly of Salado will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Dossman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Derald Dugger officiating. Burial will follow at the Salado Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Monday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Haddock died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home. Mr. Haddock was born October 11, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Earl C. Haddock and Ira (Moore) Haddock. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Coast Guard. He married Lena Curry, September 13, 1944 in Rockwall. He worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 32 years. He retired as an Inspector in 1982. He was a 60 year, 32 degree Mason, a member of the Salado Masonic Lodge #296- Past Master. He was also a long time member of the Salado Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Earl Haddock. Survivors include his wife Lena Haddock of Arlington, two daughters Jan Bint of Arlington and Faye Engelke of Seguin, step-mother Lois Haddock of Abilene; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
