Floyd Stubblefield

Funeral services for Floyd E. Stubblefield,75, of Moffat, will be held at 9 AM Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Buckhorn Cemetery near Moody with Chaplain Judy Hoelscher officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Stubblefield died Monday, August 6, 2012 at his home. Mr. Stubblefield was born May 13, 1937 in Bell County, the son of W. J. Stubblefield and Elizabeth (Gober) Stubblefield. He married Patsy Morgan, October 30, 1959 in Coryell County. He was a carpenter and a 43 year member of the carpenter's union. Mr. Stubblefield enjoyed playing guitar in the Moffat community band "The Renegades". Mr. Stubblefield was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife Patsy Stubblefield of Moffat, two daughters Trinda Belcher and husband Tommy of Salado and Lisa Roberts and fiancé Charles "Bubba" Kirk of Moffat; two brothers Loyal Stubblefield of New Mexico and Wayne Stubblefield of Palestine; five sisters Hazel Hodge of Gatesville, Dee Etta Whisenhunt of Gatesville, Alice Whisenhunt of Waco, Mildred Young of Flat and Jo Guill of Oklahoma. Six grandchildren; Thomas Belcher, Cody Mikeska, Taylor Belcher, Tori Belcher, Collin Moore, and Casey Roberts; three great grandchildren Kennedy, Nathan, and Collin. Memorials may be made to the Moffat Community Center. Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
