Thomas Elms Cockrell

Belton Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Elms Cockrell, 79 of Kempner, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Killeen City Cemetery with Rev. Gary Wessels officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Cockrell died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, in a Temple hospital. Mr. Cockrell was born August 6, 1933 near Killeen in Bell County, the son of Chester and Charlcie (Elms) Cockrell. He attended Killeen High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Cockrell worked in concrete construction most of his life for George Wilhite and GMH Construction. Mr. Cockrell was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Marvin Cockrell, Mike Cockrell and Charles Cockrell. Survivors include two sisters WillElla Boyd of Belton and Sarah Bowlden of Rockwall and one brother S. R. Cockrell of Walberg. Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
