Dalton Ray Winkler

Belton--- Graveside services for Dalton Ray Winkler, 75, of Big Spring, formerly of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday September 10, 2012 at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 Sunday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Winkler died Thursday, September 6, 2012 in a Big Spring Hospital. Mr. Winkler was born May 21, 1937 in Midland, the son of Duward "Peanut" Winkler and Gurtha Burrow Winkler. He retired from the City of Midland after 42 years, where he served as the superintendent of the water and waste water management control plant. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father in 1992 and younger sister Jeanie Bragg in 2003. Survivors include his mother Gurtha Winkler of Belton, sister Ann Mooney of Belton, two sons Paul Winkler and Chris Winkler both of Belton and daughter Kim Winkler of Austin, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
