Lee Dean "Burger" Sonnenburg

Funeral services for Lee D. "Burger" Sonnenburg, 77, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Sonnenburg died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home in Temple. Mr. Sonnenburg was born August 30, 1935, in Troy, the son of Oscar and Madgie Lee (Mayo) Sonnenburg. He was raised in Troy and graduated from Troy High School. He married Lavonia Gibson, July 17, 1961 in Belton. He worked for many years for Murray Distributing in Temple. He retired in 1998. He was a long time, active member of the Belton Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Lavonia Sonnenburg of Temple; one brother Delane Sonnenburg of Temple and sister Paula Hastings of Belton.
