Jamie Lorene Ward

Services for Jamie L. Ward, age 92, of Belton will be held Saturday (9-15-2012) at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. Mrs. Ward died Wednesday in a Temple hospital. She was born August 13, 1920 in Myrtle, Mississippi to John Bogan and Evie Eller (Grisham) Crain. She graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She married Mac Ward December 24, 1941 in Memphis, TN. They moved to Belton in 1959 where she worked for a short time as a secretary. She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Gene Ward in 1971. Survivors include her husband, Mac Ward of Belton, 2 sons, Wayne Ward of Temple and Warren Ward of Oakland, TN, 3 sisters, Carolyn Graves of Shinglehouse, PA, Peggy Forsythe of Bartlett, TN and Nell Newman of Millington, TN, 5 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
