Albert Sidney Thompson, Jr.

Mr. Thompson was born November 24, 1948 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, the son of Albert Sidney Thompson Sr and Rosa Lee McGee Thompson. He married Betty Denney, June 30, 1972 in Belton. He served in the U. S. Army for more than 20 years, retiring in 1988. He then worked for DynCorp as a Helicopter Inspector. He moved to Aransas Pass after retiring in 2011. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Thompson loved to garden, hunt and fish, anything outdoors. Mostly, he loved his family and the Lord. Survivors include his wife Betty Thompson of Aransas Pass; two sons Albert Sidney Thompson III of Temple and Randy Plummer of Bluff City, Tennessee; two daughters Christina Thompson Garcia of Beeville and Lama Thompson Marroquin of Harker Heights; two sisters Sheila McDonald of Ft. Worth and Brenda Moran of Texarkana, Arkansas and seven grandchildren.
