Belton--- Graveside services for SFC Douglas P. Casey, US ARMY Retired, 82 of Belton will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at the North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Charles R. Angerstein Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Mr. Casey died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home in Belton. Mr. Casey was born in Hope, Arkansas, August 18, 1930 the son of Harley Clyde and Beatrice (Rothwell) Casey. He married Frances Lanell (Hiller) Angerstein, April 29, 1955. She preceded him in death December 6, 1988. He retired from the United States Army in 1975 after serving for 26 years. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Casey married Jean Schaaf Forrest, December 14, 1991 in Belton. He was a member of the American Legion in Belton and the VFW in Temple. He was also a member of Nolan Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Jean Forrest Casey of Belton; three sons Richard Casey of Killeen, Charles Angerstein of Temple, Gerald Angerstein of Ft. Worth; daughter Jennifer Casey Cox of Belton step daughter Sandra Forrest Frost of Belton, two step sons Jimmy Forrest of Belton and Johnny Forrest of Belton; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
