Ramona Lee Drake

Ramona Lee Drake, 84, of Belton, died Friday November 30, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday evening, December 2, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel. Mrs. Drake was born November 13, 1928, in Miami, Oklahoma, the daughter of James O. Hardy and Eva Marie (Wordlow) Hardy. She married Jimmy Drake Oct 14, 1961 in Mexico. Mrs. Drake was a true artist. She loved painting and crafts of any kind. She also loved children and everyone called her Me-ma. She was a great cook. She lived a full and colorful life. She was a member of the Seneca-Cayuga American Indian Tribe in Oklahoma. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Drake, August 7, 2005. Survivors include three sons Dean Ace Briscoe of California, Kenny Wayne Briscoe of Missouri and Jimmy Hayes Drake, Jr. of Belton; one daughter Paulette Drake of Belton, nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Dossman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
