Connie Jo Guthrie Tubbs

BeltonGraveside services for Connie Jo (Guthrie) Tubbs, 55, of Temple, formerly of Sailda, Colorado will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Bill Adams officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Tubbs died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at a Temple hospital. Mrs. Tubbs was born July 16, 1957 in Temple, the daughter of Joe Dean Guthrie and Shirley Jean (Lawson) Guthrie. She married Archie Tubbs, Jr. December 19, 1990. She attended Belton schools and was a licensed cosmetologist with Merle Norman for many years. She was also an independent drywall contractor for 15 years. She was a member of the Belton Lighthouse Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include two sons Travis Smith of Austin and Curtis Smith of Temple, one daughter Jami Rene Mayfield of Salida, Colorado; three brothers Ricky Guthrie of Salida, Colorado, Bo Guthrie of Belton and Justin Guthrie of Temple; five sisters Diane Soules of Lake Jackson, Tressia Carroll of Belton, Monica Guthrie of Harker Heights, Donna Lenear of Belton and Misty Shelton of Belton; four grandchildren.
