Funeral services for Melody S. Underwood, 54, of Morgan's Point Resort, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held 2:00PM Saturday at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Visitation will be held, Friday, January 4, 2013, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Underwood died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Temple. She was born September 5, 1958 in San Antonio, the daughter of Jack Hoover and Lanell (Worrell) Hoover. She married Gary Underwood, February 1, 1985 in Galveston. After marriage, Melody and Gary moved to Central Texas in 1986 and attended Oak Park Methodist Church in Temple. Mrs. Underwood was a kind caring person who often was taking care of the family. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wesley Wayne Hoover. She is survived by husband, Gary Underwood; one son, Jonathan Underwood; one daughter, Stacy Underwood; and one sister, Lila LaRue Deaton.
