Larue Hollingsworth

Memorial services for LaRue Stephens Hollingsworth, 87, of Temple will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas, Gary Anthony officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hollingsworth died Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was born December 5, 1925, in Beaumont, Texas, to Elma and Grover Stephens. Mrs. Hollingsworth graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont, Texas, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and English from Sam Houston State University. On September 22, 1946, she married Harold "Holly" Hollingsworth. During their marriage they lived in Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a wife, mother, best friend, teacher, real estate title insurance closing agent and so much more. She was a member of the Lydia Life Group of First Baptist Church Temple. She also participated in Bible Study Fellowship and played duplicate bridge for many years. Mrs. Hollingsworth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold "Holly" Hollingsworth, her children Mark Hollingsworth of Temple, Wayne Hollingsworth and Dana Hollingsworth both of Austin, and her four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Greater Things Building Fund, First Baptist Church Temple.
