Bobbie Gaynell Pitts

Funeral services for Bobbie Gaynell Pitts, 95, of Temple, will be held at 6 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home with Aubrey Pitts and Macky Pitts officiating. Burial will be at 2 PM Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Colfax Cemetery in Colfax Community of Van Zandt County. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at 5 PM at the funeral home Saturday. Mrs. Pitts died Friday, January 25, 2013 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Pitts was born September 22, 1917 in Comanche County, the daughter of B. R. and Ruby (Swann) Tate. She grew up in Tahoka, Texas where she graduated from High School. She married Henry Kirk Pitts March 7, 1937 in Roby. They lived in Tahoka, Ackerly, Muleshoe and Hughes Springs before she moved to Temple in 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, November 13, 1986. Mrs. Pitts is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: James and Lynette Pitts of Lubbock, John and Macky Pitts of Midland and Aubrey and Jennifer Pitts of Temple; one daughter and son-in-law Lyna Pitts and John Hasandras of Salado, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the McLane's Children's Hospital in Temple.
