Kenneth Eliot Flint, Sr.

BeltonGraveside memorial services for Kenneth E. Flint, Sr. 69 of Temple, will be held be held at 1:00 PM. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Flint died Saturday February 16, 2013 at his home. Mr. Flint was born June 26, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Hamilton Kenneth Flint and Amber Knots Flint. He married Pollie Ann Clark, October 23, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. Kenneth moved here from Biloxi, Mississippi five years ago. He served the United States Air Force Reserves for 37 years and obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. While in the military he traveled to many countries around the world and was on the Air Rescue team for Air Force One while President Nixon was in office and for the Apollo missions. He has worked for McDonald Douglas and Allison engines, inspecting aviation parts. He also worked as a Wildfire Firefighter in California and was a Hurrican Hunter. Survivors include his wife Pollie Flint of Temple, one son Kenneth E. Flint, Jr. and one daughter Wendy Campas both of Mississippi. One brother Willard Van Epps; three sisters Cathy Defacio, Carolyn Brookmeyer and Nancy Dillinger; four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Scott and White Hospice.
