Belton--- Funeral services for Carolyn Ann Martin, 66 of Temple, Texas, will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas with Darren Walker officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8PM March 18, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Martin died Friday, March 15, 2013, in Temple. She was born March 10, 1947 in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Junior William Mathis and Juanita (Faulkner) Mathis. She married her husband, Ronald Martin in Macon, Missouri, April 5, 1969. She has lived in Temple for 2 years after moving from Grimes, Iowa and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton. She had a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse until retiring in 2010. She loved camping and the outdoors. She was an avid gardener and loved to cross stitch and was always reading. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Martin of Temple; two sons, Kevin Martin of Medina, Ohio, Jeff Martin of Urbandale, Iowa; one sister, Linda Mathis of Kicksville, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Sadie Martin and Brock Hutchison. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
