Gladys M. Janeway

Belton--- Memorial services for Gladys M. Janeway, 81, of Belton will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, April 15, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Belton with Rev. Andy Davis and Rev Carroll Davis officiating. Mrs. Janeway died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home in Belton. Mrs. Janeway was born April 4, 1932 in Belton the daughter of Ike D. Walker and Minnie (Slater) Walker. She graduated from Belton High School, Mary Hardin-Baylor and received her master's degree from Baylor University. She married James A. Janeway June 20 1949. She taught elementary school in Belton for many years. Mrs. Janeway was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton. She played the piano for the Chinese Mission Church - FBC Belton as well as Park Place Manor and Crestview Manor nursing homes. She was preceded in death by her husband January 24, 2003. Survivors include one son Jim Janeway of Allen, two daughters Kay Johnson of Colorado and Alice Winders of Belton; one brother Buck Walker of Belton; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation 4-6 PM Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home.
