Belton--- Funeral services for Clarence Daniel Beaver, Jr., 86, of Belton will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Bro. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Beaver was called home by the Lord Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Temple. Clarence was born March 13, 1927 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma the son of Daniel Beaver and Betty (Alexander) Beaver. He retired from the United States Army where he fought in World War II and was stationed in Korea and on the Czechoslovakian border in Germany as a patrolman, then retired from Ralph Wilson Plastics after 24 years of service. He married his wife, Ermilinda (Martinez) Beaver, whom he loved dearly, March 14,1957 in Belton. He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church. He was an American Indian, a great mechanic, and loved to hunt and fish. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his entire family whom he loved. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Martin, and Edgar Beaver; and one sister, Wanda Beaver. Survivors include his wife, Ermilinda Beaver; 6 sons, John Gauna, Jr., Raymond Gauna, Jake, Franklin, Robert, and Joseph Beaver; two daughters, Melissa Beaver and Kimberly Beaver; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great-great grand daughter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Miller Heights Baptist Church, 1400 South Wall St., Belton, Texas 76513. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Dossman Funeral Home.
