Funeral services for Bonnie Boyd, 75, of Belton, will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the North Belton Cemetery in Belton with Rev. David Alwine officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Miss Boyd was born June 24, 1937 in Pendleton, the daughter of Harvey and LaVerne Boyd. She was a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, earning a Bachelors of Arts in history and art. She received a Masters degree in counseling psychology from Texas A & M Central Texas. She worked for many years as a licensed professional counselor at MHMR in Killeen. Miss Boyd was a member of the Iris Society in Belton and enjoyed quilting. She was a Presbyterian. Survivors include her daughter, Celeste Hogan of Rogers; two brothers Eugene Boyd of Boerne and Frank Boyd of North Dakota; one sister Mindy Boyd Baker of Belton; three grandchildren Melody Dingus Parker, Gerald Dingus and Robert Hogan; three great grandchildren, Dwyn Parker, Helena Parker and Llyr Parker. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in her name.
