C. E. Jack Wheeler

Belton- Funeral services for C. E. Jack Wheeler, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Minister William Bunting officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6- 8 PM Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Wheeler died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at a Temple Nursing Home. Mr. Wheeler was born January 26, 1923 in Ranger, the son of Tony and Mattie (Sharp) Wheeler. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He married Betty Jo Ward, May 31, 1947 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Mr. Wheeler worked for more than 30 years as a machinist for Continental Belton. He was a member of the Canyon Creek Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Wheeler, February 4, 2007. Survivors include two sons Larry Wheeler and Bill Wheeler both of Belton and one daughter Pam Gulley of Belton; two sisters Helen Serrett of Archer City and Wanda Cox of Eastland; 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
