Belton--- Graveside services for Shirley A. Prestin, age 68 of Killeen, will be held 10:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2013, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home with Darrel Phillips of Harker Heights United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held 6PM to 8PM Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Shirley passed away Thursday, May 8, 2013 in Temple. She was born September 14, 1944 in Lindsborg, Kansas the daughter of George Seely and Eva (Parker) Seely. She married her husband, Clarence Prestin February 20, 1964 in Junction City, Kansas. They moved to Killeen in 1972 from Fort Riley, Kansas. She was the Librarian Aide for West Ward Elementary School where she cared for books and the students dearly, and worked for KISD for over 20 years until retiring. Shirley was a member of the Delaware Cherokee Tribe and loved reading, gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting. Most of all she loved her family, her husband, kids, and grandchildren. She was a member of the Harker Heights United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George, Walter, and Bill Seely. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Prestin; one son, Robert Prestin and wife Rosie; two daughters, Angela Kosiek and husband Charles, Eva Scott and husband Phillip Scott III; five grandchildren, Justin Hyde, Kristin Hyde, Robert Prestin Jr., Zoe Prestin, and Koko Scott.
