Charles Douglas Rich

Belton- Memorial services for Charles Douglas Rich, 84, of Temple, will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Andy Davis and Rev. C. J. Rich officiating. Mr. Rich died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. Mr. Rich was born August 31, 1928 in Bogalusa, Louisiana, the son of Henry Randolf Rich and Margaret Jane Meadows Rich. He married Bertha Gorum, October 8, 1954 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He served for two years in the US Marine Corps and over 30 years with the US Army National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church Belton. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Rich of Temple, son Charles (C. J.) Rich, Jr. of Belton; one brother, Don Rich of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hands Held High c/o Hope For The Hungry P. O.
