BeltonFuneral Mass for Ronald A. Sharp, 71, of Temple, will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 31, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home with Father James Misko officiating. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 7PM at the funeral home with a Rosary following from 7 to 8PM. Ronald died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home in Temple. He was born September 29, 1941 in Gilliam, Louisiana the son of Walter Arvell Sharp and Virginia Refeld (King) Sharp. He moved to Temple in 1982 from San Antonio after retiring from the United States Army as Staff Sergeant and a X-Ray Specialist. He married his wife, Imelda (Pena) Sharp, September 16, 1967 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, a Master Mason, Shriner, York Rite Royal Arch Mason, a 50 year member of the VFW, Kights of Pythias, Order of The Eastern Star, American Military Retired Association. He was a Certified Laboratory Technician, Registered X-Ray Technician and had a PhD in Sociology; a Master's in Counseling; and Bachelor's in Education. He was a big supporter of the Bell County Foster Children and any cause for helping children. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Donald Allen Sharp. Survivors include his wife Imelda Sharp; one son, Ronald Arvell Sharp II and wife Sandra; and four grandchildren, Ronald Sharp III, Aaron Bryce Sharp, Logan Allen Sharp, and Reece Autumn Sharp; a daughter in law, Jennifer Sharp and husband, Ross Keiser. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital c/o Karem Shrine Temple 400 Karem Circle, Waco, Texas 76712.
