Funeral services for Nova Castor, 77, of Temple, will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Larry O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Castor died Monday, May 27, 2013 in a Temple Nursing Center. Mrs. Castor was born September 17, 1935 in Colorado City, the daughter of John Virgil Davis and Oma Ola (Payne) Davis. She married Warren "Bud" Castor January 1972 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She worked in human resource management for many years. She always took part in Cancer Walks such as Relay for Life. She was a devoted mother and family person. She was preceded in death by one son, Harold B. Lock in 2013; three sisters Ola Christine Rayburn, Violet Olene Davis and Oma Della Mollenhour. Survivors include her husband, Warren "Bud" Castor of Temple, two sons Daniel Lock of Temple and John Edward Lock of Nacogdoches; step son Warren Lee Castor of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two step daughters Tiffany Lee Sipple of Laughlin, Nevada and Angela Kaye Castor of Canton, Missouri; one brother Virgil Lewis Davis of Amarillo and one sister Betty Jo Swallow of Marquez; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
