Mary Lagrone Jones

Funeral services for Mary LaGrone Jones, 94, of New Braunfels, formerly of Houston, will be held at 2 PM Monday June 17, 2013, at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will follow at the Oliver Family Cemetery. The visitation will be Sunday June 16, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home from 5-7 Pm. The Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service Monday beginning at 1 PM. Mrs. Jones died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in a New Braunfels Nursing Center. Mrs. Jones was born February 21, 1919 in Belton, the daughter of L. M. "June" LaGrone and Laura Frances "Mother Laura" Holley LaGrone. She graduated with honors from Acadmey High school. She Married Albert Fisher Jones, Sr. April 6, 1937 in Belton. She lived in Houston and taught school for more than 40 years at the Kinkaid School in Houston. She was long time member of Third Baptist Church in Houston. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband and both children, Albert Fisher Jones, Jr. and Lauri Kaye Jones Shepler. Survivors include four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
