Jeanette "Baby Jean" Chaffin

Graveside services for Jeanette "Baby Jean" Chaffin, 90 of Moffat, will be held at 10:00 Am Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Moffat Cemetery with Rev. Elton Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Chaffin died Saturday, June 15, 2013, in a Temple Nursing home. Mrs. Chaffin was born October 13, 1922 in Bland the daughter of John and Minnie (Ludwick) Trimmier. She was the youngest of nine children. She married Bob Chaffin, August 29, 1942 in Temple. She was a homemaker but worked for 7 years for Moffat School, driving the bus and working in the cafeteria. She was with the Moffat Home Demonstration Club for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moffat since 1934. Mrs. Chaffin was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband Bob Chaffin of Moffat, son John Bob Chaffin and wife Linda of Bartlett and daughter Mary "Tootie" Herrington of Moffat; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Moffat.
