Belton---Graveside services for Richard "Dingle" G. Herrington, 94 of Belton, will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Herrington Cemetery under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home with Michael "Tater" Paschal officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Richard passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home in Belton. He was born January 17, 1919 in Gatesville, the son of Felix Harvey Herrington and Sarah Minerva (Burris) Herrington. He lived in Central Texas all of his life and served in United States Air Force in World War II. He married his wife, Beatrice (Sagabiel) Herrington February 23, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas and attended the Salado Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion, Woodmen of the World, and VFW. Richard had many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, collecting and studying Indian Artifacts; but none greater than his love of his family, especially kids and grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beatrice Herrington; two brothers, Harvey and Burris (Red) Herrington; four sisters, Minnie Henderson, Ruby Newby, Bonnie Brinegar, and Emma Lou Scarborough. Survivors included his his son, Rick Herrington and wife Linda; two daughters, Dee Dee Dockray, Elaine Brooks and husband Robert; two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Herrington; one sister, Irene Moore; eight grandchildren, Calvin Dockray Jr., Scotty Dockray, Mandy Boyd, Candi Crews, Lonnie Brooks, Ben Brooks, Shawna Davis, Chelsie Kelley; and eleven great grandchildren, Rebecca Dockray, Matthew Dockray, Colton Dockray, Caleb Dockray, Cade Dockray, Celdan Crews, Kouper Tubbs, Abby Davis, Maddox Davis, Addison Kelley, and Reese Kelley.
