Funeral services for Billy Ed Wilson, 91, of Belton, will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson died Monday, July 8, 2013 in a Temple Nursing Home. Mr. Wilson was born August 26, 1921 in Davilla, the son of John Henry Wilson and Sidney Aileen (Digby) Wilson. Early in his working life he was a mechanic at Ft. hood. He soon owned and operated his own auto repair garage. In the early 1960's he went into the contracting business and operated B. E. Wilson Construction until he retired. During this time, he also worked for the City of Belton for 10 years. He enjoyed working and worked until finally retiring at 88 because of health issues. He enjoyed hunting for many years and more recently enjoyed visiting and joking with his friends and family, who were very special to him. He was a Baptist and attended Miller Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Wilson in 2010. Survivors include one son Eddie D. Wilson and wife Jeanne of Woodway; three daughters Pat McEver of Temple, Tammy Wilson Ricketts and husband Johnnie of Alvarado and Ricci Wilson Douglas of Belton; one sister Johnnie Ruth Bartz of Belton;Two step-sons Byron Maudlin of Belton and Bob Maudlin of Crosby; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton
