Belton-- Funeral services for Guy T. Beckham, 67, of Belton, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Belton under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home with Darren Walker officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 PM at the Coolidge City Cemetery, in Coolidge, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, from 6PM to 8PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Guy passed away, July 24, 2013, at his home in Belton after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. He was born August 18, 1945 in Mexia, Texas, the son of Guy Thornton Beckham Sr. and Maydelle Beckham. He married his wife, Tammera (Hickman) Beckham, November 30, 1991 and moved to Belton in 1989 from Hubbard, Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton. Guy loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids. He loved to hunt, and his 1957 Chevy. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bobbie Pittman. He is survived by his wife, Tammera Beckham of Belton; four daughters, Misti Beckham Renteria and husband Ramon of San Antonio, Heather Lynn Beckham of Georgetown, Rhonda Lyn Martin and husband Dale of Ovilla, and Cindy Beckham of Sugarland; one sister, Paulette Fulton and husband Eugene of Hubbard; and four grandchildren, Isabella, Ava, and Ramon Renteria III, and William Paul Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Belton, 205 East Third Avenue, Belton, Texas 76513.
