David N Miles

Funeral services for David N. Miles, 67, of Salado, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2013, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Pedigo, Rev. Elwyn Johnston and Rev. Harry Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Miles died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in a Houston hospital. Mr. Miles was born June 30, 1946, in Snyder, the son of Audley O'dell Miles and Ruby Loraine LaRue Miles. He attended grade school in Snyder and graduated from High School in Abilene. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. He married Roseanne Holt, April 18, 1991 in Lynbe, Denmark. He was retired from civil service, where he worked for almost 40 years. He was a pastor of the North Texas Assemblies of God. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Moody. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene Miles and Alton Miles. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Roseanne Miles of Salado, son Audley O'dell Miles of Salado; three daughters Teresa Sevcik and husband Mitchell of Houston, Tammy Nick of Houston, and Tracy Brunschwig and husband Ari of Colorado; three brothers Jackie Miles of Folsom, CA, Forest Miles of Mt. Pleasant, and Dennis Miles of Wichita Falls; six sisters, Faith Blocker of Snyder, Nancy Lee of Snyder, Mary Beggs of Amarillo, Bobbie Teubner of Snyder, Patsy Berry of Kaufman and Phyllis Murray of Hurst. Eight grandchildren and 26 nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org
