Thomas Marion Lancaster

BeltonFuneral services for Thomas Marion Lancaster, 58, of Belton, will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at the Lancaster Cemetery in Temple. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Lancaster died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at his home. Mr. Lancaster was born August 8, 1955 in Belton, the son of Buck Asa Lancaster and Loucille (Carter) Lancaster. He was a 1973 graduate of Belton High School and he attended Temple College. He married Mary Spurgeon December 31, 1977 in Salado. He worked for 15 years for 7-11 before purchasing his own convenience stores in Austin and two in Belton, Miller Heights Mini Mart and the Lake Stop. Mr. Lancaster was an entrepreneur, and had Tomz Wheels, an Internet automotive accessories business. He was a member of the Mid Texas Corvette Club. He enjoyed Auto Cross racing and car shows. He was a member of the Belton Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Spurgeon, August 16, 2013. Survivors include his wife Mary Kathryn Lancaster of Belton, daughter Katrina Marie Lancaster of Austin and grandson Riley Baxter Warren. Memorials maybe made to the Belton Church of Christ or the Wounded Warrior Project.
