BeltonMemorial services for Carol Harrison, 69 of Belton, will be held 11AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Belton with Betty Malone officiating. Dossman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Harrison passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at her home. She was born August 26, 1944 in Temple, the daughter of Milton Gray and Ada (Doughtry) Gray. She lived in Central Texas her whole life and had a Master's Degree in Wildlife Science. She was a Teacher for 32 years before retiring. She loved riding horses, Scuba Diving, animals, especially dogs, and absolutely loved helping others. She served as a Deacon and Treasurer at the First Christian Church in Belton and was very active with Teacher Organizations. She was known state wide as a Teacher Advocate. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Phillip Gray. She is survived by one son, Michael Cooper of Hutto; and one grandson, Richie Cooper also of Hutto. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Helping Hands, P.O. Box 1923, Belton, Texas 76513.
