Mary K. "Kathy" Douglas

Belton--- Funeral services for Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Douglas, 72, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Dailey officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Douglas died Monday, September 16, 2013 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Douglas was born March 20, 1941 in Belton, the daughter of Barton and Velma Jimmie Ming. She married James Douglas, October 3, 1986 in Norcross, Georgia. She was a member of the Belton Church of Christ. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, making flower arrangements, doing crafts and working in the yard. She loved antique shopping. Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Pat Ming Camp and step daughter Denise Douglas. Survivors include her husband James Douglas of Belton, one son Scott Staton and wife Jackie of Belton; two daughters Rhonda Staton Townsend and husband Bobby of Belton and Lisa Staton Hester and husband Thomas (Jr.) of Belton. One step son, Troy Douglas and wife Julie of Alabama and one step daughter Stephanie Barnett and husband John of Alabama; two brothers E. C. "Buddy" Ming and Barton "Butch" Ming; and three sisters Martha Ming Wood, Carol Ming Carpenter and Nell Ming Davis; nine grandchildren, Cory Staton, Shawn Staton, Ryan Staton, Craig Collins, Melissa Collins, Shannon Townsend, Jennifer Townsend Wingo, Tim Hester and Haley Hester; five great grandchildren Michael Lee Wingo, Caitlyn Wingo, Bella Wingo, Grayson Hall and Kailyn Barnett.
