Byron Royce Hickerson

Belton--- Funeral services for Byron R. Hickerson, 91, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Steven Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Hickerson was born December 5, 1921 in Belton the son of Charles and Undine G. (Strange) Hickerson. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He married Virginia Payne, December 18, 1949 in Amarillo. They made their home in Belton. Mr. Hickerson was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hickerson of Belton, one brother Mac Hickerson of Belton, two sisters Charlene Hickerson of Belton and Hazel Ann Blue of Kingwood.
