Melba Lorene Boren

Belton--- Services for Melba Lorene Boren will be 2PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton. She passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in a Temple care center. She was born on December 25, 1918 in Crosbyton, Texas to Iness Reynolds Parker and Charles B. Parker. She grew up in that area and graduated from Crosbyton High School. She married Raymond Boren on April 17, 1937. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a son Wesley Boren, as well as two brothers, Leonard and Keith Parker. She is survived by her sons, Royce Boren and wife Sydney of Belton, Charles Boren and wife Rita of Canyon Lake; a daughter, Sondra and husband Richard Williams of Groesbeck, Texas; and two sisters in law, Freda Parker and Madge Parker. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Cherokee Children's Home, P.O. Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832.
