Delma "Wayne" Allamon went to be with his Lord Jesus peacefully at his home on November 5, 2013 at the age of 66 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at Dossman Funeral Home Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1:00P.M. At Dossman Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Loudin Officiating. Wayne was born on Oct. 12, 1947 in Belton, Texas to Delma Morris "Big Boy" Allamon and Mildred Elkins Allamon. He graduated from Belton High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971 as a jet engine mechanic on the B-52 bombers. After his military service he was employed at the Temple VA Hospital from 1971 to 2006 when he retired as an Ortho-prosthesis. In 1968 he met his wife to be and they married on Jan. 18, 1969 in Orange, Texas. He enjoyed ranching, fishing, camping, hunting, and outdoor activities. He was known for his ability to fix anything. His joy was his wife, kids, and grandsons. He is preceded in death by his father and infant sister, Patricia Ann. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, sons, Jeffery and wife Angie Allamon and Jeremy and wife Susan Allamon, his grandsons Billy Yoder, Jacob and Evan Allamon, his mother Mildred Allamon, Sister Linda Allamon along with many aunts, cousins, and their families.
