Memorial services for Carolyn Hallbauer, 71, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Hallbauer died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at her home in Belton. Mrs. Hallbauer was born, September 28, 1942 in Brownfield, the daughter of Garland Clois Jordan and Lois Marie (Beasley) Jordan. She married Leslie V. Hallbauer, July 25, 1959 in Brownfield. They moved to Belton in 1962. She worked in Physical Therapy at Scott and White Hospital in Temple for 25 years. Later she worked for eight years as a teacher's aid for Belton ISD. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Deon Fields. Survivors include her husband of 54 years Les Hallbauer of Belton; one son Craig A. Hallbauer and wife Vona of Holland; two daughters Leslie Ann Hallbauer and Kristi Hallbauer both of Belton; two grandchildren Erin and Seth Hallbauer and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Scott and White Hospice, the First United Methodist Church of your local animal shelter.
