Ellen I Rojas

Ellen Isabel Rojas died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 in her residence in Temple, TX. Ellen's life journey began in Hoboken, New Jersey on November. 30, 1937 to Janet Barnes. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Raul. She attended public schools in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated with a Registered Nursing Degree from the St. Petersburg Jr. College Division of Nursing. Her life work and passion was as a registered nurse of 50 years - 39 years serving in the Operating Room. Her mother was of Scottish descent. While she considered Florida her home, she had a zest for travel, dancing, and learning about new places. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Brown of Belton, TX and a Son, Kenneth Rojas of Fort Collins, Co, and 2 grandsons whom she loved dearly. The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice, Visiting Angels, and Vicki. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Belton, 205 East 3rd Avenue, Belton, TX. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday, Feb. 6th at Dossman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at First United Methodist in Belton on Friday, Feb. 7th with burial following at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Killeen. Rev. Darren Walker will be officiating.
