Belton--- Funeral services for Ruby Lucille Parker, 93, of Belton, will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Parker died Saturday, February 15, 2014, in a Belton Nursing Center. Mrs. Parker was born September 29, 1920, in Belton, the daughter of William Kyle Powell and Sarah Ollie (Sikes) Powell. She was a 1938 graduate of Belton High School. She married Curtis Carter Parker, July 5, 1939 in Tennessee Valley. Mrs. Parker worked for 13 years with Cochran, Blair and Potts Department Store. She was a volunteer in the Nolanville Schools while her sons were in school, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and President of the Nolanville PTA. She was a longtime member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Parker in January, 1989. Survivors include two sons Mack Parker of Belton and Mike Parker of Temple; three grandchildren Jessica Parker Collins and husband Craig, Emily Parker Maybin and husband Bradley, and Chris Parker; two great grandchildren, Parker Maybin and Tate Maybin. Memorials may be made to Miller Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
