Thomas F. Coffeen

Belton - Funeral mass for Thomas F. Coffeen, 72, of Belton, Texas, will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home with Father James Misko officiating. Mr. Coffeen is to be cremated after the service. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM, Friday, February 21, 2014 with a Rosary following from 7 to 8 PM. Thomas passed away February 16, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born on May 27, 1941 in Dorrance, KS to the late Verne and Dorothy (Mahoney) Coffeen. He married the late Linda (Senz) Coffeen in 1970 and together they had 3 children. He married Dee Anna (Kowalski) Coffeen in 2001 and they later relocated to Central Texas. Tom was very activity in the church and community, serving as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts, participating in the Knights of Columbus, serving as a Eucharistic minister for the church and did volunteer work for the school when his children were young. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved fishing. He was a proud family man and could not have been prouder to become a grandfather. Tom is survived by his wife DeAnna Coffeen of Belton, his brother Ronald Coffeen of Arkansas and his three children: Stephanie (Coffeen) Doss of Dallas; Amy (Coffeen) Martini of Corpus Christi; and Michael Coffeen of Bellingham, WA. He is also survived by two grandsons: Dryden and Daxton Martini. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice. A graveside service will be in Corpus Christi at a later date.
